Why Seapath Is Joining Black Friday for the First Time

Black Why Seapath is Joining Black Friday for the First Time

For years, we said “no” to Black Friday.
We didn’t agree with what it represents: mass consumption and overproduction.
As a small brand that produces everything locally in northern Portugal, it never felt like our place. But this year, things changed — and we want to be honest about why.

Black Friday Changed How People Buy

We realised that most people now buy their Christmas gifts during Black Friday.
And not joining meant:

  • losing sales,

  • slower November and December,

  • and customers waiting for discounts that never came.

For a small brand, this had a real impact.

We’re Still a Small-Batch Brand

Everything we make is produced in small quantities, with local partners we personally know. Our stock is limited and our costs are real. Not taking part in Black Friday was beginning to hurt the business — even though our values stayed the same.

So Why Join This Year?

Simply: to stay competitive and sustainable as a small, fair-production brand.

Not to encourage consumption.
Not to compete with fast fashion.
Just to protect a brand built with care.

We’re Keeping It Honest

We won’t rename it “Green Week” or “Blue Friday.”
This is Black Friday — and that’s okay. We prefer transparency.

What You Can Expect

Our values stay the same:

  • small-batch production

  • limited stock

  • local manufacturing in northern Portugal

  • deadstock fabrics whenever possible

  • fair pricing

And meaningful discounts:

  • Up to 40% Off on selected items

  • 30% Off on all full-price items

Simple, honest and fair.

Thank You for Supporting Small

Joining Black Friday doesn’t change who we are.
It simply helps us continue — slowly, locally and with purpose.

Seapath — designed and sustainably made in Portugal.
